About the Solvang Gardens Lodge
The Solvang Gaard Lodge was the first motel in Solvang, built in 1950 when few people even knew that Solvang existed. It was fashioned after a classic Danish farmhouse and placed in an idyllic location on the fringe of the village, overlooking the rolling hills of the Alisal Guest Ranch and the Santa Ynez River.
Because of its lovely garden setting, the name of the motel was changed in 1999 to the Solvang Gardens Lodge. Solvang Gardens Lodge is a family owned property with only 24 rooms.

Nothing fills the senses with joy quite like nestling in among an abundance of flowers, trees and greenery. The Lodge gardens are an ever-changing experience. Watch for the magic to explode in color, stone and water in the coming months.
Our hidden backyard garden is available to all guests, complete with fruit trees for you to enjoy and a quaint spa cottage.
